Yes - this is *the* blogrdoc, the “Four hour work week” wiki punk
by blogrdoc
I am a real fan of ‘Four Hour Work Week’ and when Tim Ferriss asked his readers to help edit the book via a wiki, I jumped at the chance. I suggested that some of my ideas, which I’ve given glimpses of here on this blog, be added to the book (bold, I know). I got on the wiki and made the additions. I intentionally did not leave my blog url since I thought it would be pretty tacky. However - without thinking - I did leave my ‘blogrdoc’ nick on the front page of the wiki! When I went to go back to change it, I found that it was impossible to get edit rights to the wiki. This is my third day to try to edit it out (honestly), but it’s always been locked. I think my addition to the wiki stands a greater chance (though still infinitesimal) against deletion if my shameless self-plug isn’t there.
Here we are on day 3 and I am floored that it’s still there! Hilarious! Oh well… I’m sure it’ll get deleted at some point. The wiki is in constant edit mode from the masses of 4HWW readers and it’s a miracle that I got edit rights on my first try.
‘Four hour work week’ is a great book. I’ve got some random stories around how I found (totally accidental), procured (paid $2) and read it (read it during jury duty) , but I won’t bore you with the details.
If I could summarize it in a single sentence, 4HWW strikes at the core of what we all want: to feel how good it is to be alive. This is one of the seminal books which has significantly changed my life in the past three months.
