Reconsider what is disposable
by blogrdocI went to Costco today to grab a quick bite to eat. As soon as my order came, I noticed what a nice container the salad came in. As I examined the lid, I even noticed that it said ‘microwave safe’!
I wiped the bowl clean and brought it home with me. To me, not only do I get the use of a free tupperware, useful for storing leftovers (which we *always* have), but I also get the comfort of knowing that this not-small piece of plastic isn’t going to end up in a landfill somewhere for the next few hundred years (which is a horribly depressing thought to me). I shudder to think of the dozens of people just that day that just threw the container, which is perfectly re-usable, into the trash.
